A Boutique Investment Firm
Consortium Structured Investments (“Consortium”) is a boutique investment firm focusing on originating, structuring and managing the assets of tax credit-enhanced real estate developments across the country. Consortium’s established network of industry experts enables it to identify investment opportunities that can be tailored for particular investment criteria, including location, credit type, investment structure, yield parameters and risk profile. Consortium’s collaborative business philosophy allows it to join forces with real estate developers and investors to bring targeted real estate developments to fruition.
On behalf of various Fortune 500 financial, insurance and retail-oriented corporations, Consortium continues to structure and place equity investments utilizing the Federal Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit program; the State Tax Credit programs of Delaware, Massachusetts, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia; the Federal New Markets Tax Credit program; and the Federal Low Income Housing Tax Credit program. Collectively, Consortium has structured, closed and funded tax credit equity facilitating over $600 million of real estate development.
Consortium has demonstrated its ability to produce excellent results, and can do as much or as little as a particular investor needs. For example, on behalf of the first proprietary fund for a New York-based investment bank, Consortium provided full investment origination services. Consortium’s services include identifying prospective investments, preparing investment summaries, internal projections for the corporate investor, underwriting the transaction and the guarantors, closing the transaction, and assisting in asset management responsibilities for the life of the investment. Consortium believes understanding a corporation’s particular investment objectives, risk tolerance, risk-based capital returns, tax liability projections, underwriting requirements, investment preferences and asset management capabilities is critical to structuring successful investments. By combining this knowledge with specific opportunities in the marketplace, Consortium is able to provide its investors top tier results and become an invaluable asset for the taxpaying corporation.
